Candid and Colorful Wedding Photography
When it comes to wedding photography, I believe in telling your story.
Not the story I think will get published. Not the story I need for my blog. YOUR story. Your quirkiness, your funky dance moves, your gushy love. I capture the rawest of emotions. My goal is for each photo to make you feel, not just remember. And I want you to look back at your photos and say, “yeah, that’s us, that’s our story.”
That kind of story telling requires trust and vulnerability. I get to be 100% real with you, and you get to be 100% real with me.
I'm super excited to start on this journey with you, so please say hello!
FAQ
Do you include an engagement session?
Yes I do! I highly encourage getting your engagements done with me before your wedding. That’s why I include it in every wedding package. It’s a perfect chance for us to get to know each other, learn how I shoot, and to get comfortable in front of the camera. Think of your engagement shoot as a rehearsal for your wedding day. We’re just exploring a cool location and having fun while toting around a camera. You’ll learn that the photo session isn’t scary. It’s just fun and cuddles. I pinky promise an engagement session is the best. When you get to your wedding day portrait session, you’ll be pros, and you’ll be able to relax. Ultimately this “prep session” is, in my humble opinion, the best way of insuring relaxed, fun, and intimate photos on your wedding day.
Not to mention (but mentioning anyways) that a nice professional photo will look fabulous on your wedding invitation.
When can we expect our photos back?
You can expect your photos approximately 6 weeks after your wedding date depending on the time of year. However, within a few days of your wedding you will receive a little sneak peek to share with friends and family.
Editing is a huge part of my craft. And I love editing wedding photos! It gives me a chance to relive your day over and over again while making sure each image conveys the exact emotion I remember feeling on your wedding day. Because I deliver so many images and look at each one is great detail, this process takes quite a long time. I pinky swear I'm going as fast as humanly possible. (cause, ya know, I have to sleep and feed my kids.)

What equipment do you use?
I shoot mainly with a Canon R6Mii with a 5D mIV as my backup. I carry around lots of different lenses (24mm, 35mm, and 50mm). My 28-70mm Stays on my camera 90% of the time because it is *chef's kiss.* While we definitely prefer natural light, we also have external lighting for the reception and dancing.
How much time should we spend on our wedding day portraits?
I recommend setting aside at least 1 hour for your portraits, split between a first look session and a sunset session. Your wedding day goes by so quickly, with countless people vying for your attention. It's easy to lose sight of what the day truly means... YOU and your love! The photo session isn't just about capturing beautiful photos of the two of you; it's a quiet moment reserved during your day to cherish what matters most. It's a time to focus on each other, to remember why you're committing to each other, and, of course, to cuddle and share kisses. This romantic and stress-free hour is incredibly meaningful.
We can schedule your portraits before the ceremony as part of your First Look or after the ceremony. I'd also love to steal you away for 15-20 minutes around sunset. That warm light of golden hour is pretty great.
But I also want to point out that your wedding day is NOT a photoshoot. You're getting married and having an epic party! I'll let you have that time with your people. Don't worry!
How do we book you?
Great wedding photography relies on chemistry and trust between me and my couples. We’re going to spend a lot of important time together, so I require meeting virtually or in person before booking to make sure we click. I promise this is for your protection! I want you to be 100% happy with your choice, and I want to make sure I can deliver to you the product you’re hoping for.
So fill out the contact form! Wait for my email (ping again if it's been more than a few days). Then we'll book a call!
Your day will be officially reserved when you have signed the contract and paid the first installment of 50% of the total wedding package price.
Do you do wedding planning too?
While I'm happy to help with timeline and be a sounding board for color schemes, I'm not a professional at all the things. For organization's sake, I do require that you have a day-of coordinator. If your venue does not offer one, please reach out to Claire Coordinates for a 10% discount off her packages.
